Sensory-Motor Rhythm and the Development of Multiple Intelligences
4 October 2025

As part of its early childhood training activities, IGI organized a specialized training workshop as part of the “Pedagogical Music Caravan 2”, led by artist and trainer Sami Dorbez.
The training focused on the use of music and rhythm in educational activities with children, with particular emphasis on sensory-motor rhythm and its role in developing children’s abilities and supporting different forms of intelligence.
The workshop followed a practical and interactive approach. Participants were introduced to the creation of musical and educational materials using simple and accessible resources such as bottles, grains, colorful ribbons, hoops, and decorative materials, transforming them into tools that can be used in children’s educational and recreational activities.
Participants also explored creative ways of combining movement, rhythm, music, and play in activities designed for children, helping create a more interactive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.
The training brought together educational concepts, hands-on practice, creativity, and child animation, while helping trainees and early childhood professionals develop practical skills for working with children.
